A mortar blows up, exploding in a 21-year-old mans face in Churchville.
Harford County Fire officials say the incident happened in the 100 block of Hopewell Road on Wednesday evening.
The injured male was flown to an area hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.
An investigation will be conducted by the State Fire Marshal.
No other details were immediately available.
