BEL AIR, Md. — In Bel Air, there was a peaceful protest outside of the courthouse fountain.
Attendees said, with people trying to change the narrative of the current issue they want a chance to show the world that folks are peacefully fighting for what is right.
"This is a peaceful protest we do not mean to harm anybody we’re just out here using our first amendment rights to speak our minds and if you want to come and argue against us that is totally fine as long as you do it t in a respectful peaceful way."
Attendees were encouraged to not bring weapons or incite violence.
Instead, they were told if conflict arises to work to de-escalate the situation.
WMAR-2 News was told Bel Air officials were notified and offered their support and protection.
