BEL AIR, Md. — A man is in custody after allegedly setting two Bel Air business buildings on fire overnight Saturday, causing around $1 million in damage.
Richard Benjamin Lodeski, 43, was arrested Tuesday and now faces two counts each of Second Degree Arson, First and Second Degree Malicious Burning, and Malicious Destruction of Property over $1,000.00.
Before his arrest, the Maryland State Fire Marshal released surveillance photos of Lodeski and a red truck at a nearby store. At the time, he hadn't yet been identified or located.
So far no connection has been made between the businesses and Lodeski, as investigators try to piece together a motive for why the fires were set.
