BEL AIR, Md. — The Harford County Sheriff's Office is investigating multiple thefts of political campaign signs in a Bel Air neighborhood.
A doorbell camera captured a suspect stealing a Trump - Pence sign on Saturday, in the 100 block of Duncannon Road.
In a Tuesday tweet, the Sheriff's Office called what happened a crime and violation of free speech.
"We all have differences of opinion. Let's respect those opinions and not step into somebody else’s yard to commit a crime by stealing a campaign sign. It’s a violation of free speech and downright disrespectful of your neighbors."
