Woman charged with attempted murder after hitting boyfriend with her car

ABERDEEN, Md. — A woman faces attempted murder and assault charges for hitting her boyfriend with her car.

Aberdeen Police say it happened on Liberty Street just before 2 a.m. Friday. Police responded for a report of a man injured in the street. The 26-year-old man was flown to Shock Trauma with severe head injuries but is expected to survive.

Police say he had been involved in an argument with his girlfriend, Mckenzie Wright. As he attempted to walk away, his girlfriend hit him with her car.

Wright has been transported to the Harford County Detention Center where she has been charged with attempted murder and assault.
