A  woman is rescued by a Good Samaritan after driving her car off a pier.

The incident occurred on Monday just after 3 p.m. at Tydings Park in Havre De Grace.

Crews from the Susquehanna Hose Company, Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps, and Charlestown Fire Company all responded to render aid.

It was later learned however, that a Good Samaritan who happened to be in the park at the time,  jumped into the water, pulled the woman from her car, and brought her back to land.

The driver was transported to an area hospital to be evaluated for possible hypothermia, while the Good Samaritan was evaluated on scene and released.
