Howard County police are investigating a serious motorcycle crash in Elliott City that left one man in critical condition.
Just before 5 p.m. during rush hour, officers responded to Route 108 at Falls Road for a reported crash involving a Yamaha motorcycle and Honda Accord.
Police say that the motorcycle driver, Brandon Corey, 27, of Catonsville was traveling northbound on Route 108 before colliding with a car traveling in the opposite direction.
Due to the severity of the crash, the road was partially closed and Collier was flown out to University Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment.
The other driver, later identified as 66-year-old Laurence Elwin Everett was not injured.
