5-year-old suffers minor injuries in six-car collision involving a daycare van

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — A daycare van that contained nine children was involved in a minor six-car crash on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at 9:40 a.m. on eastbound Route 40 at the Rogers Avenue intersection. The children, who were all ranging from ages 5 to 8 years old, were uninjured, but were still taken to a hospital for safety reasons. All of their guardians were contacted.

The driver of the van, who was also unharmed, went to the hospital with the children.

However, a 5 year old and an adult in another vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital.
