COLUMBIA, Md. — A 6-year-old boy has died after being struck by a vehicle in Columbia Monday afternoon.

Police say Isaac Gill and his mother Nazia Gill, 38, were struck while in the crosswalk at Harpers Farm and Twin Rivers Roads.

Isaac was taken to Howard General Hospital, where he later died.

The mother was taken to the same hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver remained on the scene.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause.
