Crews responded to a house fire that caused more than $500,000 in damage in Glenwood Wednesday.
Howard County firefighters and paramedics responded to the 2600 block of McKendree Road around 9 p.m. to find heavy fire near the garage and extending into the second floor of the two-story house.
Crews battled wind and temperatures with help from Carroll and Montgomery County fire departments.
An adult male was inside the home at the time of the fire, and he evacuated before emergency personnel arrived.
The man was the only resident, officials said.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
