ELLICOTT CITY — A Maryland business owner closed her shop that flooded twice during two devastating floods in two years.

Sally Tennant is closing her Ellicott City craft store 'Discoveries'. She has lived and worked there for about 40 years.

This is one of four buildings in Old Ellicott City that will be torn down as part of the 'Safe and Sound' flood mitigation plan.

During his 2018 election campaign, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball said no buildings would be torn down in the historic town.

Tennant hopes to find a new location for the shop.
