Friends and family of Eddison Hermond have created a scholarship in his memory.
Hermond was the fallen National Guard that lost his life during the historic flooding in Ellicott City.

According to the leaders of this memorial scholarship, they hope it will enable others to further their education and their service to others. Its purpose will also continue to serve Eddison's legacy of service and love for the hospitality industry.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to a member of the hospitality industry who embodies the same values that Eddison lived by.
