MT. AIRY, Md. — A 53-year-old man is dead following a two car crash in Mt. Airy Monday night.
Just after 8:45, Howard County Police say Michael Todd Shultzaberger was facing south on Route 27, trying to turn left onto Penn Shop Road, when his Chevy Impala was struck by an oncoming Subaru Outback.
Shultzaberger died at the scene. The driver of the Outback, a 56-year-old woman was taken to Shock Trauma and is in stable condition.
Police haven't said what might have caused the crash, or who was at fault.
The intersection was closed for about four hours, following the crash.
