HOWARD COUNTY, Md. — A United States Postal worker found a missing 2-year-old boy curled up in a ball along I-95 Thursday morning.

Ethan Adeyemi was reported missing 10-hours earlier, after he followed a family member outside his home in the 7800 block of Blue Stream Drive.

Police say Ethan was found near Rt 103, and appeared to have walked about a half mile from where he went missing.

The postal worker told police he stopped and took the boy into his vehicle after recognizing him from earlier reports he saw.

Up until the time Ethan was found, nearly 100 police, fire, and volunteers searched the area using K-9 dogs, residential doorbell camera video, and a drone.

In addition to his age, police were also concerned because Ethan is non-verbal and believed to be on the spectrum, though not officially diagnosed.

Ethan was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment but appears to be in good health, according to police.

A friend of the toddler’s family told WMAR-2 News reporter Dave Detling they are thankful for everyone’s help.

“Thank you to the police and firefighters for all they did. We’re especially greatful for the postal employee.”
