COLUMBIA, Md. — According to the National Weather Service, a tornado touched down in Columbia on Thursday at 3:34 p.m.
The NWS Storm Survey classified the storm as an EF-1 Tornado with winds ranging from 86 to 110 mph.
They say a portion of a roof was removed from an office building located on the 9700 block of Broken Land Parkway. Numerous trees were also reportedly snapped in the area.
WMAR-2 News Reporter Eddie Kadhim was at the scene of where NWS confirmed the Tornado hit.

WMAR-2 was also at the scene of a home on Wayover Way in Columbia after Tornado Warnings were reported in Howard County.

The NWS says they will provide more details on the tornado on Friday.
