Troopers looking for driver who fled after striking woman on I-95

WATERLOO, Md. — Maryland State Police are searching for the driver who struck a woman and fled the scene Sunday in Howard County.

It happened around 9:25 p.m. on I-95 south by the rest area.

The 35-year-old pedestrian was trying to cross over to the northbound side of I-95, when she was hit in the left lane.

Troopers believe the vehicle involved was a Jeep Cherokee.

The woman was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. There is no word on her condition.
