Howard County Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision in Columbia that left three adults in serious condition Sunday evening.
According to authorities around 5:30 p.m. a 2009 Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on Route 175 through the intersection that connects to Dobbin Road, when it struck a 1995 Toyota Camry that was traveling southbound on Dobbin.
The driver of the Honda, a male and a female passenger sustained life-threatening injuries. They were transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma.
The female driver and sole occupant of the Toyota was taken to Howard County General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the driver of the Honda failed to stop for a red signal.
However, charges have not been filed at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
Route 175 eastbound at Dobbin Road and Dobbin Road between 175 and Dobbin Center Way remains closed as police continue to investigate.
