JESSUP, Md. (WMAR) — An undercover prostitution sting led to nine men being arrested Monday in Jessup.

Howard County Police detectives set up the operation at a hotel in the 8100 block of Washington Boulevard.

To lure the men, investigators placed fake ads on websites known to be used for prostitution. Those who called the listed number in the ad, actually spoke with an undercover officer who set up a meeting spot at the caller’s request.

When the men arrived and offered money for sex, they were arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution and disorderly conduct.

The following men were arrested and charged.

Andre Hutchins, 27, of Roanoke, VA
Adrian Emmanuel Hewitt, 24, of Lanham
Chaning Matthew Spriggs, 27, of Linthicum
Juan Sanchez-Melchor, 49, of Laurel
Miguel Roberto Mejia Vasquez, 35, of Annapolis
Eric Juan Heron, 44, of Glen Burnie
Matthew Allen Imholte, 41, of Columbia
Johnny Lewis Savage, 54, of Jessup
Kenneth Simmons, 51, of Severn

Police say the operation was part of Howard County’s "ongoing effort to combat prostitution, human trafficking and related offenses and aids in making the county an unappealing place for traffickers and johns."
