Baltimore man dies after hit and run on Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Greenbelt

GREENBELT, Md. — U.S. Park Police Officers said a Baltimore man died Wednesday in a hit and run in Prince George's County.

Officials said it happened just before midnight in the area of southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway at 495 in Greenbelt, Md. When units arrived, they found a body in the roadway.

Police identified the victim as 52-year-old Mark Johnson Sr. of Baltimore, who was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators said they believe that one or more striking vehicles left the scene.
