Baltimore's Congressional leaders announce nearly $750,000 for Veterans’ Housing

WASHINGTON — A grant was announced Wednesday to support Baltimore's homeless veterans.

Baltimore's Congressional leaders presented an award of $748,976 for Baltimore’s Public Housing Agencies through the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program.

The funding will be divided between Baltimore City and Baltimore County provide services for 45 Maryland Veterans.

For direct assistance, Baltimore City will receive $285,978 and Baltimore County will receive $96,684. An award of $366,314, will go to Baltimore City for for special fees which gives funding to Public Housing Agencies.
