Fire crews rescue five people trapped in car after serious crash

Montgomery County fire crews were at the scene of a serious crash involving three adults and three kids.

According to officials, around 6:59 p.m. a van and a car collided on Norbeck Road and Westbury Road on Friday evening.

Investigators say that a Ford Focus driving westbound on Norbeck Road when it hit a Ford E-150 that was making a left turn from Westbury Road. The Ford Focus later struck a brick structure on the side of the roadway.

When crews arrived at the scene, they noticed that five people were trapped in the Ford Focus. They were able to rescue them out of the vehicle and transported all of them to an area hospital for trauma.

The driver of the Ford F150 Van was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

Police are currently at the scene investigating the crash.
