Deadline for unclaimed winning Maryland lottery tickets approaching

BALTIMORE — Five Maryland Lottery players have $50,000 prizes waiting for them, if they can find their tickets and claim their money in time.

Two such winners have their deadlines approaching next month. As a rule, lottery players must claim their prizes within 182 days of the drawing in which they won.

The prize from a winning ticket sold on Aug. 11, 2018 at Burchmart #1 (27350 Three Notch Road) in Mechanicsville must be claimed by Feb. 9, Maryland Lottery and Gaming said in a statement. The winning numbers for the draw were 5, 43, 56, 62, and 68 with a Powerball of 24. The ticket was for a drawing on the day of its purchase.

Another $50,000 winning ticket purchased on Aug. 25, 2018 for a drawing the next day, must be claimed by Feb. 23. The winning draw was 20, 25, 54, 57 and 63 with a Powerball of 8. The ticket was purchases at Giant #141 (7940 Crain Highway) in Glen Burnie.

Two of the other $50,000-winning tickets must be claimed by April, with the last having a deadline of May 1.

  • Expiring April 13 – A ticket sold at Springdale Food Mart (5703 Mt. Holly Rd.) in East New Market for the Oct. 13, 2018 drawing.
  • Expiring April 20 – A ticket sold at Dad’s Beer and Wine (603 Hungerford Drive) in Rockville for the Oct. 20, 2018 drawing.
  • Expiring May 1 – A ticket sold at the 7-Eleven #11631 (200 Back River Neck Road) in Essex for the Oct. 31, 2018 drawing.

Winners are supposed to sign the backs of their winning tickets and bring them, along with identification, to the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
