Fight turns deadly as car crashes in College Park Thursday night

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man in Prince George's County.

According to the department, Troopers responded just after 5:00 p.m. in the area of eastbound Route 50 east of Route 410 in College Park, Maryland for a single car crash.

Investigators learned that 22-year-old Davon Robinson and a woman were driving on the roadway, when they started fighting.

Officials later determined that Robinson lost control of the car, then overturned and crashed into a sign support pole.

Robinson died at the scene and the passenger was able to exit the vehicle on her own.

She was transported to University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center for treatment of her injuries.
