EASTON, Md. — Crews battled a two-alarm fire in St. Michaels Monday.

The fire broke out in the St. Michaels Harbour Inn early in the morning at the restaurant.

The hotel and spa were largely untouched.

Buddy Harrison has a restaurant in the Harbour Inn Hotel.

“You know one thing after another. Hopefully we will be open by summer. It’s a great place to come, we just waiting to get there,” said Harrison, of Harbour Lights at Harbor Inn.

Fire officials estimate the value could be $250,000 worth of damage.

Management at the hotel said repair work has already begun and they expect it to be completed in about two weeks.
