Florida man dies in motorcycle crash in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. — Maryland State Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Frederick County.

The department said, it was 8:30 p.m. when Frederick Barrack troopers were alerted about a serious motor vehicle collision on Maryland Route 550 at the intersection Clyde Young Road.

When the arrived to the scene, they found a BMW motorcycle which had collided with a New Holland forage harvester.

Troopers identified the lone rider of the motorbike as 48-years-old George Gray of Venice, Florida. He was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he later died.

According to MSP, the lone driver of the the harvester, 30-year-old Andrew Eaves of Woodsboro, Maryland was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact TFC Blumenauer, Collision Reconstructionist, of the Frederick Barrack.
