For the third year in a row, BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport set a passenger traffic record.

The airport saw more 26 million passengers pass through its gates in 2017. According to an economic impact study, the airport produced more than $9.3 billion in total economic activity for the state and region and added more than 8,750 jobs since 2015.

“BWI Marshall has broken passenger records for 29 out of the last 30 months," said Governor Larry Hogan. "And every single day we seem to be announcing new services to spur growth for our airlines, our cargo shippers, and for the entire BWI business district.”

BWI ranks among the top 25 busiest airports in the country and the busiest in the Baltimore-Washington area.
