Do you want to be a part of a commission to address congressional districts in Maryland? If so Governor Larry Hogan wants to hear from you.
Governor Hogan executed an emergency order to set up a commission to address districts in Maryland.
A Federal court ruled that Maryland's voting districts were set up to favor Democrats. The courts want a new map submitted by March 7th, but the Governor wants people to help with the remapping.
"This non-partisan commission will be composed of 9 members. Including 3 registered voters who are Democrats, 3 who are Republicans and 3 Maryland voters who are not affiliated with either the democrat or republican party." Governor Hogan said on Monday.
You can apply to be on this special commission here. Applications must be in by December 10th.
