Rodek Dental Arts in Elkton, Cecil County is participating in a program to collect excess Halloween candy.
It's an effort to make sure communities produce less waste during the holiday.
The dental office will give the extra candy to Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization that hosts an annual candy collection drive and ships the candy to service members.
The organization also distributes candy to veterans.
Rodek Dental will be collecting extra candy now through November 9th during its regular office hours.
