Commuters who use the Light Raillink service north of Baltimore may need to find a new way to get home Friday evening. The MTA kicks off three weeks worth of rail repairs Friday.
Anyone who takes Light Raillink between Hunt Valley and the Timonium Fairgrounds will have to take the bus instead. Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, service between those stations will be replaced by the Local Link 93 bus while the tracks are being replaced. Northbound rail service ends at Timonium Fairgrounds while repairs are made. Those stations are scheduled to re-open on October 5th.
Work on Metro Subwaylink also begins Friday. Those repairs will take place on the weekends and stations will remain open so service won’t be affected for riders.
Metro repairs will continue until November 4th.
