A Maryland man accused of setting his pregnant girlfriend on fire in September 2017 is now free.
LaQuinn Phillips was found not guilty on all charges after police say he set his pregnant girlfriend, Andrea Grinage, on fire inside her apartment.
Grinage, who was seven months pregnant at the time, suffered severe burns to a large part of her body and was rushed to the burn unit at a nearby hospital where she gave birth seven weeks early.
Phillips had been charged with attempted murder after investigators claimed he poured gasoline on Grinage and set fire to her in a bathtub. The lawyer who represented Phillips claims it was Grinage who lit herself on fire.
According to our ABC news partner in DC, Grinage was not happy with the verdict after it came down on Thursday.
"Everybody knows he did it," she said. "He did it, now he getting ready to walk free."
Both Grinage and the child are out of the hospital and are recovering. Phillips was released Thursday evening.
