Two Maryland fire crews are headed west to fight wildfires in the Northern Rocky Mountains.
They met at Madonna Ranger Station in Harford County Thursday morning and headed for Harrisburg International Airport.
"Maryland 1" has been assigned to the Roaring Lion fire, five miles southwest of Hamilton, Montana.
"Maryland 2" has been assigned to the Wild 7 fire on the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, 23 miles southeast of Zortman, Montana.
