UPDATE: Maryland State Police are reporting that they have found K9 Gunner after he went missing chasing after a deer. They say he is in good condition and was found not so far away from where he went missing.
Maryland State Police was searching for one of their own after one of their K9 officers went missing in Talbot County.
Bloodhound Gunner was with his handler around 10 p.m. getting ready to begin his tour of duty. Police say Gunner then noticed a group of deer which were standing in his handler's yard near his car.
Gunner was able to escape from his collar and chase after the deer into the woods. The dog was last seen in the Skipton Estates Area of Talbot County, Maryland.
