According to ESPN, which reports Martin and Tonya McNair filed formal letters notifying the state of a possible lawsuit.

Suspended head coach DJ Durkin, suspended head athletic trainer Wes Robinson and former strength and conditioning coach Rick Court are all named in the document.

The sophomore died in June after suffering heat stroke at a football practice two weeks earlier.

ESPN later released a report accusing the University of a toxic culture within its football program.
