GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Maryland drivers needing to schedule their emissions tests and handle other car-related bureaucracy will have one fewer day in March to accomplish the task.
The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration announced it will close all branch offices and VEIP stations on March 23 for required computer system upgrades. The agency’s online store and transaction portal will also be shut down from 9 p.m. Friday, March 22 until noon the next day. The state’s 10 VEIP self-service kiosks will remain operational during this time period. Their locations can be found on MDOT MVA’s website.
Branch offices and VEIP stations will resume normal businesses hours Monday, March 25. The agency also reminds drivers that all branch offices offer extended hours on Thursdays, staying open until 6:30 p.m.
