Montgomery County Police say the front seat passenger of the vehicle was shot and taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Two women who were in the car were also injured and hospitalized.
Officials believe the operator lost control of the vehicle and crashed after trying to escape from gunfire.
A preliminary investigation suggests the incident may have started out as a disagreement between two groups inside the mall.
Detectives are actively reviewing surveillance footage to obtain a better description of the group of suspects.
It's unclear if the suspects fled on foot or in a vehicle.
