Outgoing Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman wont be out of a job long.
On Wednesday, Governor Larry Hogan appointed Kittleman to the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission.
Along with Kittleman, Hogan also appointed Frederick attorney Howard Metz to the Commission.
Earlier this month, Kittleman lost his position as Howard County Executive to Council President Calvin Ball in a closely contested general election.
Kittleman also previously served in the Maryland State Senate, where he was the Minority Leader.
According to a press release issued by Governor Hogan's office, Metz currently runs his own practice and has served as a court appointed mediator since 2000, conducting alternative dispute resolutions.
Each appointee reportedly has 30 years experience in workers' compensation related work.
