The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating a bomb threat that was found in Kent Island High School.
On Tuesday, at a little after 10 a.m., the school resource officer was notified of a threatening message that was inside the girl’s bathroom. Several agencies were notified to bring in K-9 teams so that they could conduct a search of the school. Disruption to normal school activities were kept to a minimum. However, a brief evacuation was ordered and a search of the school was also conducted with negative results.
This investigation is ongoing.
