A statewide effort is aimed at ensuring Maryland drivers are safe on the road.
It's called the Statewide Traffic Safety Pledge.
It encourages drivers, riders and passengers to commit to safer driving habits, like wearing seatbelts, driving sober and not using phones behind the wheel.
