MARYLAND — A Special Olympics Maryland volunteer has died from the coronavirus.
Jerry Manley led a 33-year career in law enforcement serving Prince George’s County and was a special advocate for the Special Olympics Maryland and Children's National Hospital.
Governor Larry Hogan posted about it on Twitter, saying Manley was a good friend of his.
Hogan said he and the First Lady are praying for Jerry’s family, friends, and all who loved him.
Earlier this week, I lost a good friend, fellow Marylander, and all-around great guy, Jerry Manley, to COVID-19. Jerry led a 33-year career in law enforcement serving Prince George’s County, and was a dedicated advocate for @SPOlympicsMD and @ChildrensNatl Hospital. pic.twitter.com/hD0P1M8McO
