The suspect in a double shooting at a Jessup truck stop was found dead in Prince George’s County Monday morning from an apparent suicide.

Howard County Police say 52-year-old Jacinto Del Prado of Greenbelt, Md. was hit and killed by a train in Lanham, Md. around 7 a.m.

MARC Penn Line train service was suspended for several hours early Monday morning after a train hit a pedestrian on the tracks near Annapolis Road and Whitfield Chapel Road in Lanham.

Police had obtained an arrest warrant for Del Prado for shooting two men Sunday afternoon at the TA Jessup Travel Center truck stop on Assateague Drive. Chad Dewayne Daniel, 44, of Wesley Chapel, Fla. died on the scene, and a second man, Warren Anthony Weeden, 57, of Baltimore, was transported to Shock Trauma where he’s currently in stable condition.

Officers were called to the scene around 1 p.m. Sunday and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police believe Del Prado went to the truck stop to confront a man about a domestic dispute, yet detectives suspect that Daniel and Weeden were victims of mistaken identity.
