The University of Maryland Police Department wants community’s help in theft of credit cards

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The University of Maryland Police Department wants the public's help in their search for a suspect they believe stole credit cards.

Officials said the suspect is connected to two theft cases at the university's Cole Student Activities Building and the Animal Sciences/Agricultural Engineering Building.

Victims told police that their wallets containing credit cards were stolen. Police said the thefts occurred on August 1 and the cards were used at local businesses.

The department is asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is strongly encouraged to contact UMPD at 301-405-3555 or e-mail investigations@umpd.umd.edu .
