BALTIMORE — With snow and ice accumulated across the state, the United States Postal Service is reminding residents to keep walkways, sidewalks, and approaches to mailboxes as clear as possible, for the safety of both postal carriers and neighbors.
Keeping a clear path to porches, walkways, and mailboxes will allow for timely delivery of mail and packages. Postal carriers are not allowed to attempt deliver if there is too much snow or ice built up on walkways and porches, the USPS said in a statement. If an item can’t be delivered, carriers will attempt to make the deliver the following day.
