World War II veteran wants birthday cards for his 96th birthday

A World War II veteran in California is about to turn 96-years-old.

His one wish, birthday cards!

And he doesn't care who they're from.

Duane Sherman earned a purple heart for a mission he survived in 1944.

More than 70 years later, a lot of his friends are gone so he doesn't get many letters.

Now, his daughter is asking people to mail him cards, so he can look forward to opening the mailbox on his birthday.

"Well, I'll have a hell of a time reading them." 

"To get something in the mail that's for him, that's special."
