BALTIMORE — Wreaths were placed on the graves of our fallen soldiers at the Baltimore National Cemetery.
The event was closed to the public.
Gravesite flags were also placed by the cemetery staff at the end of each row of graves in these cemeteries and at the gravesites of Medal of Honor recipients.
During the ceremony, those who lost their battle against COVID-19 were honored, as well as the essential workers on the front lines of this pandemic.
"With the pandemic in mind I ask you to take a moment to reflect on our fellow American’s who have been victims of COVID-19 as well as their grieving family members. In addition, think about our healthcare workers, including our dedicated colleagues at VA Healthcare who risk their own lives to help to help their fellow citizens who have been afflicted with the devastating coronavirus."
Wreaths were also be placed at Annapolis National Cemetery and Loudon Park National Cemetery.
