EDGEWATER, Md. — WMAR-2 News is committed to improving the lives of Veterans in Maryland by shining a light on their stories, struggles and triumphs. Every week a local veteran will be featured in our Veteran Spotlight contest.
This week's nominee is Robin Minutello of Edgewater.
Minutello proudly served the United States Coast Guard for 9 years as an Operation Specialist. Then, she worked at the Veterans Resource Center to help homeless veterans and she also worked with special education students at Davidsonville Elementary School.
Minutello is now a full time student that's pursuing a Masters Degree in social work from Fordham University.
She was set to graduate in May, but, sadly, commencement in New York was postponed due to the coronavirus. She volunteers a lot in the community and has organized a food backpack program and is also very active in the Heritage Girls Club with her daughters, Gabriella and Adrianna.
All of us here at WMAR-2 News would like to thank you for your service and dedication to our country. We would also like to thank Robin's husband, Rich, who is currently serving in the Coast Guard.
