Arkansas couple builds house for pet cow

Posted

When you think of household pets, you may think of a dog, cat, or a fish, but what about a cow?

A couple in Arkansas consider their dairy cow their largest child.

Holly Marie is a 10-year-old Dairy Holstein Cow. Her mother died during birth, and the Flowers family has raised her ever since.

Holly started out with an old shack, but quickly outgrew it. So, they started from scratch and 'mooved' her a new house costing 10 thousand dollars!

The house also includes all her favorite pictures and a music box.

"She's not a normal cow, she doesn't know she's a cow. She weighs about 2,000 pounds now. She grew up around the garden of the house with the great pyranese, thinking she was a dog, until she realized she was getting a little larger as now we have her in a house," said the Flower family.

A stray cat named Annie now shares the room with Holly.
