TOWSON, Md. — The Board of Education for Baltimore County has voted to keep the school start date for the 2019-2020 school year after Labor Day.

School officials previously provided a survey to allow the public to vote on two proposed school start dates before the scheduled meeting on Tuesday night.

The board originally voted on the school start date in March but said it didn't have enough hours in to account for emergency or inclement weather closures. This led the board to revisit the decision and vote in favor of keeping the start date after Labor Day on September 3, 2019.

The last day of school for students would be on Friday, June 19, 2020.
