Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women celebrates 10th first day of school

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women is heading into its second decade. The college preparatory public charter school opened in 2009.

Today, more than 100 6th graders and 48 seniors were greeted by board members, staff, alumnae and community partners.

There was also a special celebration for the seniors as they took their first walk down senior row.

Students and staff are looking to continue the school's tradition of success which includes 100 percent of all graduating classes being accepted into college, winning championships and awards in robotics, junior achievement, step and dance.
