BALTIMORE — Hundreds of kids have the beginnings of their own library, thanks to the Scripps Howard Foundation's "If You Give A Child A Book" campaign.

Last month WMAR-2 News gave away 2,000 books to schools in Baltimore City and on Wednesday, we did the same at Moravia Park Elementary School.

"My kids are so excited this is some of my kids first books for their home libraries. They're getting out of war-torn countries or they weren't even allowed to go to school. The eyes lit up and to have so many beautiful choices it was very exciting to see them picking today."

The books were donated by WMAR-2 News through the Scripps Howard Foundation's "If You Give A Child A Book" campaign and 796 kids got to take two books home.
