For the past few years, WMAR-2 News has been able to put books in the hands and homes of thousands of children in our area.

We're continuing our mission with the third year of the "If You Give A Child A Book Campaign".

It kicked off on Monday.

WMAR-2 Sews, The Scripps Howard Foundation and Fulton Bank are teaming up for the campaign.

Any monetary donations we collect will be matched by the Scripps Howard Foundation.

The money will be used to buy books from Scholastic. Then, we'll distribute the books to local students.

"This partnership aligns well with our Fulton forward initiative which includes financial literacy. It is my hope that some of the kids get some books that talk to them about money and they can learn more."
